If you enjoy classic books and live in Rancho Santa Fe, you will love April’s Book Club pick at the Rancho Santa Fe Library. Featuring March by Geraldine Brooks, this book club allows you to catch of glimpse of March, the father in the long-loved and much-read story Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.  The book was written from compiling letters and journals from Alcott’s own father, Bronson Alcott, and will reflect a depth gained from the test of faith and family brought on by the Alcott struggles.  The library’s book club, held at 17040 Avenida De Acacias, near your Rancho Santa Fe home, will begin at 2 p.m. on April 10th and all adults are welcome.

Spring Has Sprung Near Your Rancho Santa Fe Home

Be Creative Near Your Rancho Santa Fe Home

Rancho Santa Fe – Home to Performing Arts

A Little Piece of Heaven Near Your Rancho Santa Fe Home

“A Little Piece of Heaven,” can be yours, if you live in Rancho Santa Fe,  This heartwarming theatrical performance will be debuted at the Village Church Community Theater, located at 6225 Paseo Delicias on Friday, March 9th and 16th and Saturday, March 10th and 17th at 7:30 p.m.  Matinee performances will be on  Sunday, March 11th and 18th at 2 p.m. This dramatic comedy, near your home in Rancho Santa Fe, about losing and gaining something of significance will have you laughing and crying, all at the same time.

In this play, Elizabeth and Henry, the owners of an eclectic shop attract many types of customers who are searching for something they have lost. From Michael, a biker, to Lily, an 87 year-old woman who has been coming around the shop for years in search of something. The combination of creative, boisterous characters and the twists and turns they encounter will leave you smiling and being grateful you spent some time at the show. Donating Near Your Rancho Santa Fe Home

The Rancho Santa Fe Rotary has a lot planned for March!  Along with meetings near your Rancho Santa Fe home featuring speakers such as  DeAnne Steele, Steve Farrar, Susan Mauntel and Tom Jourdan, the Rotary Club will be traveling to Mexico! That’s right, Rotarians who live in Rancho Santa Fe have the opportunity to service across the border on March 16th and 17th.

If you would like to contribute and serve closer to your Rancho Santa Fe home, try getting involved with the Rotary’s My Girlfriend’s Closet project.  This not for profit group collects gently used clothing and shoes for distribution to foster, homeless and disadvantaged teenage girls.  Stylish clothing presented boutique style teaches the teens self-confidence and helps them feel more comfortable in their schools and communities. Clothing is collected throughout the year  and you can participate by dropping off your donations at the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center.  This is a fantastic reason to clear out your closets in 2012!

Crafts Offered at Library Near Your Rancho Santa Fe Home

Spring is in the air and with it comes the chance to get your creative juices flowing!  On Saturday, March 10th, the Rancho Santa Fe Library will be hosting a Make and Take Jewelry Craft at 11 a.m. Easter baskets and decoupage eggs will be yours to create and all supplies will be provided to those who live in Rancho Santa Fe by the library at no charge. The Rancho Santa Fe Library, located at 17040 Avenida de Acacias , offers a wealth of fun activities for Rancho Santa Fe home owners and families.  Children of all ages can enjoy craft and story time, too, on multiple days of the week.

Kids Volunteer Near Rancho Santa Fe Homes

The Rancho Santa Fe Library, located at 17040 Avenida de Acacias , offers fantastic opportunities for volunteering for students who live in Rancho Santa Fe.  Students must be between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate and enrolled in grades six through twelve.  This is a great opportunity for your student to learn about serving in the community that surrounds your Rancho Santa Fe home.

Politics & Intrigue – LIVE in Rancho Santa Fe

The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club will be hosting Turning White House Experience in to Political Thrillers” with Karna Small Bodman this Thursday, March 1st. Rancho Santa Fe home owners and friends are welcome to attend. Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club Members are $30 and non-members are $45, and includes a signed copy of one of Bodman’s books, Wine and Cheese.The event will be held, near your Rancho Santa Fe home, at the Garden Club at 17025 Ave de Acacias from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Karna and her husband are residents of the Ranch and are eager to meet with neighbors and share stories from her Karna six years serving in The White House of President Ronald Reagan. As Senior Director of the National Security Council, Karna was the highest-ranking woman on The White House staff which gave her plenty of material to create her bestselling political thrillers, Come learn her stories of working in The White House and her techniques of weaving her experiences into her novels.
